Any Day Now!

So while we're waiting...waiting for our little guy to come along, I thought I'd post my very last belly picture. This is as pregnant as I'm gonna get, so I thought I'd share! Please pray that the baby comes sooner rather than later, because we are anxious to finally meet him! Also, there is a pic of the "baby area" in our room, which we'll use until we move to a bigger place. We're utilizing our little space to the max, but it feels cozy instead of cramped to us. We're so excited! We'll post baby pictures as soon as possible when he's born. Yay!

9 More Days Y'all!

If you can believe it, we are only 9 days out from our scheduled due date of November 7th. I know we are shocked by just how close to being parents that we are now. I've been having Braxton Hicks contractions and found out at the doctor this week that I am 1 centimeter dilated and 75% effaced. The doctor says we are now "legal" and can have the baby any time! I wouldn't mind having him early! We've both been working our little behinds off getting all the chores on our lists done before our little guy decides to make an appearance, and other than a few little things I think we are as ready as we'll ever be! Just think, only about 9 days until Mr. Incognito's name is revealed! No more secrets..... We can't wait to meet him!

Only 5 Short Weeks Left!

Yes, folks! I'm at 35 weeks now. Only a very short time until we get to meet our precious baby boy! I'm still feeling great. No issues to speak of unless you count swollen extremities. Totally normal from what our doctor tells me. Sleeping has gotten to be somewhat of a challenge at times with all the getting up to go to the bathroom and the belly poundage, but mostly it's working out alright. A good friend of mine says it's God's way of preparing me to get up every 3 days (oops! I just wanted to see if you were still reading). I meant every 3 "hours" to feed our little one. I think that's a good way to look at it. Here's a little info about the baby's development this week. Darius and I can't wait to meet him and see what he looks like! We are so excited!

How your baby's growing: Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
